Information for candidates

RGS Student Information

Provisional timetables for external examinations will be distributed to students in early March. Two weeks before the examinations are due to start students will receive their final timetables which will include actual start times, details of the examination rooms and seat numbers. When this final timetable has been received the provisional version must be destroyed to avoid any confusion. Students will also receive the relevant official examination notices and an RGS student handbook which contains all of the information that they will need for exam day.

Certificates

Examination certificates arrive at the school during the autumn. Students that have left the school will be able to collect their certificates from the school reception from early December. If the student still attends the school the following arrangements will apply:

• Year 12 certificates – will be held securely and distributed with the following years certificates taken in Year 13
• Year 11 GCSE certificates – will be distributed during house assemblies when in Year 12

Students that are unable to collect certificates in person may give their consent for a third party to do so on their behalf. In this instance students must email the school and provide the name of the person collecting the certificates – the third party must then bring a form of ID with them when they collect them. If a student gives consent in this way the certificates will not be released until the student has received a reply from the school confirming that the arrangement has been put in place. Hand written notes will not be accepted as consent under any circumstances.
The school currently has a large number of uncollected certificates for IB, A level and GCSE for exams taken from 2013 to the present day. If you have not collected your certificates please contact the school.
